If the Blues want Chychrun, they'll need to overpay and involve this year's 1st.

We'll be signing him to an extension that is roughly 8 million x 8 with ease.

And if Tampa won back to back cups with Hedman/McDonagh/Sergachev, then Ottawa can roll with Chabot/Sanderson/Chychrun.

Ottawa declines.

Yeah, but Ottawas offense and goaltending are far from that of Tampas. I just do see how they manage 3 LD all with 8 mil+ contracts long term. I would be more than willing to swap the 2024 pick to a 2023 1st too. They will also need possibly 2 top 6 wingers.

I doubt this trade would happen, but I could see them looking to move Chychrun

This is a big meh for me. I'd rather just sign Forsling (or snare Lindgren for less if the Rags back themselves into another dumb corner).
