Calgary would need to take another player back to make the cap work for Carolina but I'm not sure who that player would be.

Anthony DeAngelo makes sense since he makes about the right amount of money and is a pending UFA. Calgary might be willing to add a little something extra for him too.

A Tanev for Pesce swap with retention on Tanev could work for Calgary too but might not work for Carolina.

Carolina isn’t trading a 24 year old RW/C who’s capable of 30+ goals and 70+ points for a soon to be 34 year old expensive goalie and a bottom 6 player. Markstrom and Dube have nowhere close to the value Necas has
