so another terrible goalie who isnt as bad this year, but has a much much much much worse contract and the leafs are adding a good prospect and pick why?

Leafs pass.

I believe Merzlikins would clear waivers just based on his contract. And the Leafs need a bonafide top 4 D. They don't need another project RD. a few teams should be in on Boqvist but the Leafs are not one of them.

Remove Minten and I still pass.

Woll is the leafs goalie of the future. Why are they trading Minten for a goalie with term that is going to be the backup at 5.4M. Idk if people actually watch the games. Woll is a stud and a high ankle injury isn't a long term concern for recurring.
