I think I would accept if I was Chicago, Kotkaniemi would be an ideal #3 centre for the long haul who is on a very reasonable contract for six more seasons.

I agree KK is not Carolina's best player
but the Canes still don't do this
He is an important part of the team, and I believe Rod said he's been playing through injury which explains his recent slump after a hot start.
