Clarke is the last remaining "untouchable" out of the Kings prospects. Spence could be had if you are dead-set on a RD (along with more than just a 2nd round pick, obviously. Not saying Spence and Clarke are equal value).

I'm amused that you think the Kings would add in a Clarke for Saros swap. Maybe if Saros had 3-4 more years remaining on his affordable contract.

Clarke will not be traded.

I hear you. This would be an overpay, I'll admit. But that's what it would take to get Saros in the crazy hot goalie market this year. There are so many contenders with goalie issues. And Saros is one of the few elite goalies. And the only one that can be pried away from his team this year. I think when Rob Blake is faced with the thought that Saros could end up somewhere like the Oilers, he would reach a little deeper in the pockets than someone like Spense.
