Don’t see a large benefit of moving out Hayes for a 3rd. Not unreasonable. But his contract is pretty fair for his role and we’d ultimately just have to try and replace him. We can’t do it internally yet.

I dont think Philly takes that, they can easily buyout the last yr of Petersen, (or just keep him in AHL for a 3.8mil cap hit for 1 more yr because they have the cap space and no expectations to compete), a 1st for the long term Campbell contract/buyout isnt enough. Not to mention PHI adding a 4th and 5th?

I mean its not tons, 10.5mil, but six years of a cap hit for two years of a cap hit is more than a late in the round 1st, (and phi adds picks?)

Not to mention Petersen is playing okay at least, and PHI has some youngsters in AHL who need a solid vet partner.

I could see the Hawks making both of those deals. They'd probably just buyout Petersen. The Brown trade really depends on how the Hawks rate Lavoie. Hawks might want a different prospect.

Not going to presume whether CHI would or wouldn't do that, but Bailey's buyout cost was just about half of what Petersen's would be because of the difference in how their contracts are structured. Baileys was about $2.3M total, whereas Petersen's would be $4M. Regardless, you don't negotiate a cap dump trade based on buyout cost. What CHI, or any team, does with a cap dump after they are acquired is their own business. Plus, I doubt PHI would do that to begin with, which would make this entire conversation pointless.
