Trade Sergachev for two players you've zero chance in hell of re-signing, Hanifin and Lindholm combined will cost you $16,000,000 Lindholm $8,500,000 and Hanifin $7,500,000 Neither is signing with a team that's on the decline.

Original thought on the trade. Flames would have to think Sergachev is worth his 8.5m contract to do the deal. More likely they get futures for Hanifan and Lindholm and then could spend 8.5m better than Sergachev.
