I got no desire to trade for Kakko. He’s a Jesse Puljujarvi part 2: always saying this will be the year he breaks out when he’s a middle six forward at best.

I don't really want RyJo either, but I figure we can eat $2 million and ship him off somewhere for an asset in the off season. Even if we have to sit on it, it's one season. It's not like Goodrow who we'd be dragging around for years.

As to Kakko, yeah, it's hard to know if a developmental coach like Cronin can wake up the talent that's supposed to be in there. I'm willing to take a flier and hope that Cronin can work some magic, but I'm not going to value Kakko at more than a 2nd.

Ok so why if kakko is a middle 6 forward at best why is NY trading a mid 6 forward AND a second for a BOTTOM six forward?
