Description
Somehow Pitts 3rd goalie has become my favorite option as a backup for Colorado, saw this as his value from a Pitts fans agcm.

Frost has always been my favorite option as colorados 2C behind lindholm, and with torts comments the other day about disgruntled philly fans here soon I'm assuming frost could be available. The prospect going back to philly could be interchangeable however a philly fan mentioned they'd need a C back in exchange..

Colorado keeps johansen instead of paying to move him at least during the season, keeping coltons line together and if nichushkin returns before the end of season then oloffson and malinski/Jones go down and johansen become 4c

I don't think a late 1st and a body in the AHL get you Morgan Frost. I'm not sure what the trade would include but I do think you are under paying for a 2C. Especially when the market is getting thinner and thinner and we are still a month from the deadline.

Fair, but again the prospect is interchangeable, between any player not named richie, or guluyev and as I stated one philly fan said he would prefer a C in exchange, Meyers was in the nhl last year and this year he's mostly stayed down to preserve his waiver exemption. Plus a late first is still a first, mtl turned the 31st overall pick into alex newhook last offseason

That's Pittsburgh's back up. As long as they are in contention he isn't getting moved. He's been a bright spot this year.

I just don't see Bednar trusting Frost in the top six; if Newhook didn't pan out, why would Frost be different? I think Frost stays & PHI trades more veteran guys, like Laughton instead

because frost is an improvement on RyJo. So would be newhook. The trade has worked out for the Avs, Colton is great, and both first-round picks from last draft look awesome. But Newhook would be a welcome improvement right now.
