Description
I’m starting to think we need either new wingers for Geno or Geno is declining. I’m thinking he’s more on the declining side. He’s been consistent but just not as dominant. But then again looking at Rakell’s slow start and Smith’s production falling off a cliff has not helped production. There was apparently possibilities of Smith not being happy in Pittsburgh and has not embraced being a Penguin. Which if that’s how he feels personally than that’d be his own fault so whatever. Move on. Bottom 6 still hasn’t changed much. Eller and Acciari are still in my opinion good additions to the team. However Acciari I feel would need more ice time and obviously better teammates for more scoring opportunities cause he doesn’t create them himself. But then again he’s playing with Carter and Harkins.

Anyways. Other possible trade chips I don’t think will get traded. When has the team ever traded Sid’s wingers? Especially of Guentzel’s calibre. That isn’t the type of guy you trade. When it comes to the blueline I can see both POJ and Ruhwedel being moved. Both I think would be worth more than what people would think. Ruhwedel is still that solid defensive piece that for some reason doesn’t get recognition. POJ is on the younger side still and offensive role is limited due to Letang and Karlsson being in the top 4 already. Our top 4 defencemen aren’t being moved. If Pettersson was moved our blueline would bleed. When it comes to goalies, I think Ned is 100% being moved. Lots of teams need a back up goalie and Ned fits that description well and can easily fetch us a 3rd. Could even get more if a bidding market starts up for him. Could be 3rd+ more or even a 2nd.

No idea how to value Martinez. I’d have to think at least a 2nd. Maybe it could be a 1st

If that's really all we need to pay for a goalie, then I'm sure the avs would do it. But I think they'd want to look at some better options first

If you guys really need a back up, I don’t think there’s many better options than Ned. Especially if Colorado were to go for him. Another goalie goes down, you’d have Ned that’d be able to start those games.

Ned has been really good this season; the Avs would be lucky to only pay a 3rd. Who is available that is having a better season?
