Description
Selecting ARZ as a trade partner just for an example of what could be received in return for the players I put up; These are not trades to ARZ..
Trades
1.
MTL
  1. 2024 2nd round pick (ARI)
Additional Details:
With the counter performances that Allen got in the past few weeks, does he get a 2nd round from the trade partner? I think this would be the absolute max he's going for these days.

I would guess he'd probably get more of a 3rd rounder personally.
ARI
  1. Allen, Jake ($1,925,000 retained)
2.
MTL
  1. 2024 2nd round pick (FLA)
Additional Details:
Will Harris be traded as a package deal or just picks? If he goes for picks, he may get at least a 2nd and a 5th.

Else he could be packaged for a bad contract plus a first (à la Monahan); or even a prospect plus a 2nd.
3.
MTL
  1. 2024 3rd round pick (ARI)
Additional Details:
Kovacevic could be traded out since we have a good lot of defensemen coming up. I would guess a third as a BEST DEAL, but most likely a 4th.
4.
MTL
  1. 2024 1st round pick (ARI)
  2. 2025 2nd round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
While there are speculations that Savard may be traded out to a cup contender, I don't know if Hugues will actually pull the trigger on this one since Savard signed lower to be in MTL.

Does he get a mid to late pick in the first round? I think that for Hugues to do the move, the price would be higher than people think. I'm thinking a mid to late 1st, but with a prospect or a 2nd round pick in one of the next three drafts.
5.
MTL
  1. 2024 4th round pick (SJS)
Additional Details:
Armia, best case scenario would probably be a 4th; I did say BEST case.. In reality, since he's got an extra year, I think he may get a 6-7th round pick or even future considerations. I don't see many team that would want to take him with the contract he has.
6.
MTL
  1. 2024 2nd round pick (WSH)
Additional Details:
I wonder if there is any interest at all from some teams to get Anderson in their lineup. He's not a bad player if he gets into a system that he can play his style with good offensive wingers. But, given the contract left.. He's not worth much at this time.

Would Pittsburg even consider trying to pull another surprise and take him to replace a guy like Carter? Would Anderson' productivity go up if he played on Sid's line from time to time?

Just speculating here, but if it's Dubas paying for Anderson, we may get a 2nd in 2024 or 2026. He's done dumb moves before.. I would hope he could do this..
ARI
  1. Anderson, Josh
Additional Details:
As far as actual value, it's low. A 5th? 6th? Would need a perfect team to fit in and produce points.

Lol. I wish.

Don't get your hopes up.

Anderson, Allen, Armia are all staying put.

Harris is injured and we are in not position to trade Kovy and Savard right now.

Monahan was the only trade. I don't expect the Habs to make another trade. Allen performance just removed him from consideration, if he moves it will be in the summer when only one year is left on his contract. Same for Armia. Harris is injured, a concussion I guess, I don't expect him back this season.

Allen gonna be hard to move atleast he has a few great starts before the deadline, Armia is a no go for any team, Harris a possibility but that depends what happens with this most recent injury.

Savard could make sense if a team was is looking at filling a hole on d for this year and next. Kovacevic is an interesting one, he wont yeild much but anyone looking to add a little insurance to their backend would be interested. He a 6/7dman for most but he is solid, physical and does a good job playing within his limits.

Anderson probably not getting move until there's a year left on his deal.

Agreed, but you never know hence why I did this and see if anything happens how I compared to the reality. But yeah, I agree..

Monahan may be the only real tradeable asset we had worth moving.

All good points.. And I agree.. I'm just wondering if Hugues is able to pull another miracle on ice here. If anyone gets moved, I'll come back here to see how good or bad I faired vs reality.

In the end, our tradeable assets are assets we don't want to move since they are young and we need them to develop.

And can I be extra positive about a team looking for grit and speed to take Anderson off our hands? Dubas has done more stupid moves before.. Maybe he'll bite if Hugues calls him to take on the contract! LOL!
