Huberdeau and/or Marner's NTC's reject the deal. Calgary isn't buying, Toronto isn't taking on Huberdeau

I doubt anyone is looking to take on the full freight of Huberdeau's contract, regardless of the price. That thing is an anchor right now and the best case scenario is that he lives up to it rather than surpasses it. Think of it this way, what do you think your team would need to take on an 8 year, 10.5 mil cap dump?

Not opposed to trading Marner if the deal benefits both sides(offseason move) and he agrees to re sign in CGY, but there’s no way we’re doing the deal without getting one of Andersson or Weegar plus another 2 2nd rd picks on top of the late VAN 1st rd pick. Mitch would probably propel CGY into a playoff team too

Huberdeau is a 5m player....with little hope of getting better. Can't think of any team that would want him even at half retained.
