Trades
1.
PHI
  1. Krebs, Peyton
  2. 2024 2nd round pick (BUF)
Additional Details:
Krebs hasn't been able to carve out a top 9 role with Buffalo and seems to have stagnated in development with Buffalo. According to various sources Laughton is a guy Buffalo is interested in and Anthony Di Marco & Ant San Filippo have both mentioned Krebs as a guy the Flyers like.

Flyers get a bit of a reclamation project and a pick, Buffalo get's a really respected leader who can move up and down the lineup.

Laughton hasn’t been very good this year. PHI really fumbled when they rejected a 1st + 2nd last year from STL (according to reports)

I know, I've watched every game. I wouldn't neccesarily value Krebs at a 1st right now, despite the fact I do like him it been nearly impossible for him to escape the 4th Line with Buffalo an develop. To me he's nearing reclamation Project.

Also according to Anthony Di Marco---who has good sources with the Flyers and around the league. He asked if a 1st was a fair price for Laughton and 3 execs he asked said yea. So I think they should be able to get this return. Unless Buffalo still values Krebs a lot. Especially with the recent Monahan trade who got a 1st. and in Previous years Barclay Goodrow deal. Laughton has term and is a really well respected leader (GM value that more than average fan do).

My guess is the 1st they are referring to is a late 1st from a playoff team versus a genuine high pick. Presently the Sabres 2nd would be around pick 40, if Laughton is worth a 20-32 pick then I doubt the Sabres would be adding Krebs to cover that gap. Additionally Laughton has dropped off a cliff the last two years so I’d rather steer clear of him

If I was Dallas I make that trade. It's a good fit that takes into account what Dallas needs.
