Nic Dowd would be better, but Carrick’s a decent Plan B/C who should only cost a 4th or 5th RD Pick. That’s my guess

Gritty grinder who has been really good at faceoffs this season. Has been on PP recently as a net front pest.

Just honestly a solid depth piece.

how is he defensively? Does he PK?

& yeah but I’d rather save the 1st & 2nd rounders for bigger upgrades then Nic Dowd

He's fine defensively, he's our 4th liner and PK guy. Not like outstanding but for league min-ish he's the kind of gritty presence you want for a playoff run.

Defense is his game. Probably the highest PK TOI among Ducks forwards and I’d guess he starts like 60% of his shifts in our zone. Plays physical, has a decent scoring touch for a 4C. Very physical, and is an all out work ethic player. I honestly am hoping we don’t trade him and sign him to another year or two. Great guy for the young kids to be around
