Description
OTT gets a veteran who can help mend the locker room and teach the younger players. MTL gets a body. Very reminescent of the Dadonov for Gurianov trade. Could have the same results

No idea why PIT would do that trade but I'm the one in control here so they do. MTL get a good prospect who's ELC can fit well witht their window opening. PIT is in a weird position where they need to start rebuilding but can't fully commit while they have the big 4. This gives them young players who can make an impact in the bottom/middle of the lineup and can still grow. It keeps them competitive while letting them rebuild a bit. Yes it costs their best prospect (which doesn't say much in a shallow prospect pool) but they have the opportunity to get another one with the pick. I was debating adding a 2nd, might make it more fair, yager looks good

I just want MIN to make the playoffs honestly, they've suffered enough. Savard brings G R I T which works well behind Faber. Very condition heavy deal because of MIN's current position in the standings which is exactly HuGo's style

Alzner could be the solution to all our problems, how could a former 5th overall pick fail?

if the Sens move Tarasenko so they have the cap space to take Pearson back, then even getting a 7th round pick for Kubalik is probably a win at this point. obviously they can’t do this if they don’t end up having the space at the time

I don't follow prospects but, your giving up quite a haul for Yager. About a 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th in value (maybe more depending on how you value Harris) and that 1st will probably be in the 10-15 range, he better be one hell of a player to get a pick that is likely better than the one used to get him and more

Wild decline. No point in forcing our way into the playoffs by giving up draft capital just to get bounced in the first round. We aren't built to win yet. Our window is 2025-2026 on.
