Description
I've listed this a few here. Do you think there needs to be a tweak here or there, let's hear it. MV21227 who seems to think it's going to take two of Jarvis/Necas/Svechnikov/Nikishin is drunk. Necas will be the only one available. If Canuck fans wanted say, a 2025 2nd conditional that becomes a 1st if the Canes reach the Finals, I think that's something agreeable. I think there may need to be a minor piece coming back for it, but that's just me.

Petey is like a top 5 center in the league, and he's only 25. Not to mention you can lock him up for 8 years. You can't see why it would take two of the players you mentioned?

Matthews, MacKinnon, McDavid, Hughes, Barkov, and Draisaitl are all better. He's like 7th or 8th. But it won't take two of the players it mentioned because 1) If he won't sign, the leverage isn't there and 2) it doesn't make sense for Carolina. Need two sides to make a trade. Canes need long term security and Svechnikov offers that. Half the team is expiring so having that certainty is huge. Jarvis is 21 and is just different. He's a 5'10 power forward scoring at a 65 point pace in his junior season. Plus, he can play center himself and is RFA, not UFA, which is big with the mass turnover coming this summer

The leverage is the 30 other teams that would all want to sign Pettersson; this offer gets beat easily. And that’s IF he’s even on the block which I find hard to believe.

“Need two sides to make a trade”

It doesn’t make sense for the Canucks if two of those top four guys aren’t included. They’ll get better offers elsewhere. If you aren’t willing to pay what it takes then the Canucks will go elsewhere

He’s also better than Barkov and arguably better than Hughes and Draisaitl

Okay let me ask you this... which team is...
1. Going to be acceptable to EP40 (Probably only contenders)
2. Have the assets to acquire him
3. Going to have the cap space to re-sign him

Carolina, Colorado and maybe New Jersey are the only teams that I can think of
