I’d advise caution on RyJo; I recall saying at the time of trade to Avs fans - Trotz & Preds were willing to retain 50% (for 2 years) just to dump him 😳 . Was a really good player in his day but he’s clearly washed

I'd imagine Colorado needs a 2nd line Center so Colton can be moved to the 3C where he is high end at versus just adding center depth.

It's less of a question of fair trade/trade value, but more a case of priority. The Avs priority (or should be) is a 2C, then a back up G (some might argue reversing those as GMCM has been more vocal about looking for a back up G), then arguably a 4C and a 3RD if possible. They also have to factor in they can answer 4C far cheaper and need every cent of RyJo's money to add a 2C if they can move him. Moving RyJo out only really makes sense if they take nothing back. Then they likely need that 1st round pick to make the move for the replacement.
