And I've said it before, I'll say it again - an Elvis-for-Campbell one for one "change of scenery" trade is destiny.

Yikes no thanks on that I’d rather just keep Elvis at that point

- Campbell is cheaper both in cap hit, and real dollars.
- both players are motivated to waive their NTCs, if need be.
- The issue with Elvis isn’t just his play, but apparently his attitude/behavior has rubbed the locker room the wrong way.
- I have difficulty seeing Elvis rehab his value so much that a team would be willing to pay true value for him. It’s Horton/Clarkson 2.0 - headache for headache.
- Campbell has more or less played at or above Elvis’ level at every stop, except for EDM when his numbers decided to tank.
- Ultimately, unless you’re trading for Vasilevsky, Gs are voodoo.

It’s not a trade I necessarily need to see, it just feels like the stars are aligning to make it happen.

The difference is Elvis is an average starting goalie behind maybe the worst defense in the league over the past 3 years. Campbell isn’t even an NHL caliber goalie and they make nearly the same amount. Value wise I would want the oilers to attach at least a first in a swap. Even then the jackets have no plans for a successor. Tarasov and jet barely have any nhl experience
