The trade takes place now during the tdl & you must not know puck if you don’t think a contender would add a veteran center at the tdl to make a cup run. A 2nd or a 3rd is what that would cost

He got a 2025 2nd (so two years in the future) from Colorado last year at the deadline and played quite badly. He's not getting a current year 2nd when he's another year older and continues to not play at a high level.

Hawks are set for LD. Plenty of prospects in the pipeline waiting for opportunities.
