you need to check what solid means, this is not close to solid, a late 1st and a B prospect for Hertl retained for 6 years... not a good return, especially when SJS also giving up 2x 3rd.

They are eating 1.4m for 6 years while trading away a 60+ point player for a late 1st

Trading away a player who’s going to be 35 the next time the Sharks are good. It sucks, but it’s a good move for the Sharks. They should have never signed him to that extension.
