Are you sure you don't want the Hawks to retain half on Dickinson and Murphy too? Hawks obviously decline. Total nonsense.

Marner’s not waiving, definitely not waiving for a long shot (to put it mildly) playoff team & Hawks are not trading assets for a pending UFA. Truly not great 😕

S-O-O-O-O close on the Mitch Marner trade!

Just make the 2024 first top-5 protected, and the 2025 second conditional upon Chicago reaching the Stanley Cup finals next year, otherwise it's a 2025 third.

SO glad you put Connor Timmins in there to make it a (almost) fair exchange!

Honestly, CHI wouldn't even do a conditional 1st. One year of Marner just isn't worth it. We can address the wings down the road if and when it becomes necessary.

As far as the comments of people saying "He wouldn't waive", I don't buy that. I know TOR is his hometown, and no offense to TOR fans, but with the way he is abused constantly by their fans and media, and the fact that they can't win in the playoffs, I wouldn't be surprised if he were more than open to leaving. I also don't know why he wouldn't look at CHI with their plethora of picks, exciting prospects, and cap space, and say "that seems like a great situation, in the bigger picture."
