Description
Adding Edmundson and Lyubushkin at the deadline was a positive sign and points to a dramatic transformation moving forward. Treliving has shown his hand. The Leafs blueline will be tall, big, physical, nasty, and mean.

Think you have confused enthusiasm and facts.
Last season the Leafs were 7th in GAA, just 10 goals behind 2nd place. This season the Leafs are 17th in GAA.
How did Trevling spend 4.15m in Dman cap past summer? 4.15m in light weight Klingberg. Hardly tall, big, physical, nasty and mean. Yea, I think Trevling has shown his hand. His signings only made the defence worse this season.

Are both Luby and Edmundson top 6 capable? I never know why Leaf fans are so fascinated with overpaying the current and future edition of Pesce.

The difference in GAA between this year and last year has to do with the forwards. Bertuzzi and Domi replaced Kerfoot and Engvall. Leafs got better offensively but worse defensively. Overall it's a positive trade off because Bertuzzi and Domi show up in the playoffs.

As for the defense, Brodie has taken a huge step back, Gio is one year older, and Holl's hole on the PK was never properly filled. I don't blame Treliving for Brodie and Gio. I do blame him for not getting a penalty killing RHD much sooner than the deadline. He hasn't had a perfect record but I like most of his acquisitions. The Klingberg experiment was about bringing a different element to the power play because Rielly is not a good QB on the PP. I agreed with his thinking, but putting faith in Klingberg was obviously the wrong decision.

Hague for a 31 yo with 1 year left doesn't make sense for Vegas. Pass.

Did u not look at CGY Dcore?

Gudbranson would be no where near the top 4

CGY top 4 Dcore under Brad was either

Gio-Brodie
Hanifin-Andersson

Gio-Tanev
Hanifin-Andersson

Hanifin-Andersson
Kylington-Tanev

Weegar-Andersson
Hanifin-Tanev

So where did Gudbranson get into the top 4 here lul?

When he was in CGY he played third pair

Brad rn has the foundation around Rielly and McCabe on the left. If we use the CGY basis Demelo and either Roy and Pesce are the targets

And the TDL guys arent a good basis for what Brad really wanted. It was way before

We know Brad wanted Zadorov + Tanev from CGY back in NOV could not get the deal done so went for cheaper options. Edmundson has playoff experience and since MTL was already retaining he knew he could get him and add. Boosh became a target due to his history with TOR and past pairing with MO.

I dont think either is back

Rn this is the Dcore for next season with ? for holes

Rielly-?
McCabe-?
Benoit-Liligren (rfa probs extended)
Timmins
