I'm thinking long term, Joki may be the better P for Power? Maybe Samuelsson would be better in a shutdown 3rd P w/ Clifton, and keep Bryson as the 7th?

CBJ accept, Buffalo does not. If Columbus traded Laine, it would be selling low, which doesn't make sense for a team that needs a winger of his caliber and has the cap space to just keep him.

It's not selling high, but if we're just looking to move him, that's about as good an offer as I would expect. Two picks in the 40-50 range, a young depth forward with a little upside, and an underrated 3rd-line guy who's probably a good fit. Honestly it clears the top-6 forward logjam a little and gets some good depth.

But again, I don't think we're trading him. We very patently need a Laine (PP% is below 15%), not more depth options.
