For the Saros trade, it is entirely dependent on where that 1st is. If NJD is trading for Saros I assume it is because they are in the playoff picture, and at that point I'd rather see someone like Casey or Holtz in there rather than the 2nd round pick.

Trotz has effectively said that teams need to pay up for Saros or he will just resign him instead. A mid-first rounder and a blue-chip prospect would be the bare minimum Trotz would take, and even then I don't know if that gets it done.

Looks pretty solid but I’d trade Lauzon and have Stastney on the 3rd pair. He’s solid defensively and I think he’s earned his spot.

with retained salary by 50% the leafs will accept. we already paid to acquire him once. theres a reason we didnt give him that much money. we dont want to pay more for that again.
