Honestly the main benefit of trading kuzy was that we got rid of 5.5 million next year, and honestly I doubt he would be playing top 6 minutes with us seeing how he couldn't adapt to the defensive schemes the coaches were setting up for the players.

It would have been nice if Lindholm could get it going but it's pretty obvious that he was playing hurt and now he's injured which sucks. Hopefully he will be healthy and ready to go come playoff time.

I think Lindholm trade should get hate if he sucks in playoffs. But if he forms a good shutdown type 3rd line with say Mikheyev and Lafferty/Podkolzin that scores a couple goals that is where his worth is. He's a very good defensive center and if he can help take that pressure of JT and Petey. Well worth it.

Calgary just waits until the offseason when Vancouver tries to lowball Lindy and then checks with his agent to see if they can resign him for less than they offered him earlier.

Fact is Kuzmenko was not going to the see the ice in the Playoffs under Tocchet. Functionally, he was a 5.5M scratch player. Lindholm being on the PK and 3rd line would be more helpful than that.

Kuzmenko did bring a great complimentary skillset on offence that is being missed right now.

Lindholm has been disappointing in his time as a Canuck. It's too bad Tocchet couldn't figure out how to coach Kuzmenko, we could really use his offensive skill and I think the team chemistry was better before the trade.
