Uhhh NO. The Blues would be delighted to trade up for that pick, but they would lead with their own 1st as the main piece coming back. Not hand you a locked down 25 yo top line player AND a top 25 prospect.

There's no reason for the Blues to decimate their current roster and prospect pool strength for additional picks and prospects. The pick would be of high interest i'd imagine. But it can't come at the cost of both our current top line RW or our future top 6 RW.

We've picked quite a bit in the first round the past 5 years. I don't imagine a late 1st would be of too grave interest. I also don't really see an avenue for Barron to get playing time unless Faulk is shipped either. Mesar is a fine prospect, but I don't see a need to move Snuggerud out and bring Mesar in.
