I think Graves could be decent for us but the term is a problem in the cap world.

Agreed that the term is a risk. But he's 29 so it's not impossible that he could provide value through the end of the contract if he fits well into the team system.

i cant vouch for mikheyev and what the penguins would be getting except for looking at his stat cards and peripherals, but i can offer insight as to what vancouver would be getting. and if that trade was offered straight up, dubas says yes in a heart beat, and the yinzers would be flooding the canucks front office with flowers and tim hortons. graves dragged down letang and karlsson and has really looked lost down the stretch except in bottom pair minutes. was he deployed incorrectly? maybe. is he a risky bet? certainly.

I don't think the Canucks should do that Graves move. He's a number 5 dman IMO and that term and AAV is too much for what you're getting.

It's the same reason I'd be really hesitant to re-sign Zadorov.

Count me out. I’m in the camp of Pens fans that says Graves will come good. There’s been far too much overreaction to one bad season on a new team.
