"blake" would have been an interesting Freudian Slip if you were a Kings fan.

In my opinion, he was never a good idea due to fit. Had we needed a #2 C, he would have hit the ground running and would have been fine between Trevor Moore and Kevin Fiala. But we already had Phillip Danault, and his presence there should have come as no surprise to the front-office brain trust (and I use that phrase sarcastically). Note that the sudden upswing in his performance has coincided with Viktor Arvidsson's return to the lineup; imagine how well he would have played between two good wingers, let alone high-quality ones. But all we had to put with him was kids like Kaliyev and LaFerriere and Turcotte.

I actually think that now having seen what DuBois is capable of with actual NHL linemates, Blake will devote his off-season efforts to getting PLD some partners and so any chance that we had to re-sign Matt Roy will evaporate due to the cap situation.

The kings aren't using him right is the main reason he is under performing. Add on the fact that while PLD is a good hockey player, he is also whiny and lazy when he doesn't get what he wants

Hard to know you meant blame when "Blake" is an obvious connection to the Kings.

Dubois has had a slow start on every team he has played for. It takes him a while to find his groove. He's actually been better of late, with 11 points in his last 11 games, and a team leading +10 during that stretch.

He still has a long ways to go before he'll earn his contract, but his improvement between game 1 and 76 is promising. There's no reason to suspect that he won't continue to get better as he becomes acclimated to his new team.
