Description
I like this for Calgary a lot. They have a few solid pending UFA's here also that they can either resign or trade at the deadline again. Sharangovich and Kuzmenko could fetch a decent score if retained. Potentially Mangiapane also.

I am sure NJD would consider that. Casey has more value for sure. Bahl is a more proven asset. Casey has top 4 offensive D potential. Bahl is a solid and big bottom pair guy.

I understand Calgary has Brzustewicz already but it's never a bad thing having a surplus of good young RD. They won't all pan out and they can always be used as trade chips later also.

If I am Calgary I go with Casey over Bahl EASILY.

Tough **** for calgary because NJD isn't adding casey to a 1st.

Additionally Brzustewicz and his fear of competition would be pissed if they brought his daddy Casey and buried Hunter on the depth chart once again. Already happened to him twice already, with Casey burying him on the depth chart for the US team, and then taking his spot at Michigan too.

Looks like you got yourself a deal imo. I would then use that 2nd, and the oilers 2nd to trade into the 1st round to get a better forward prospect.

Don't hold your breath . . . two picks in the mid-fifties only get you 40th overall.
