I'm not even going to bother commenting on the value

I don't get why the Habs crowd on here is so obsessed with Anton Lundell. If you're going to trade so much for him, why is he on the 4th line?

Necas is going to make around what Caufield makes, and that isn't even close for his trade value. *Maybe* if you sent the Habs pick, with it likely top 10, the Canes would have interest, but otherwise, this gets laughed at

That’s not too far off what Necas’ trade value would be as an RFA

Fiala, who was better and also the same age as Necas is returned the 19th pick and a good prospect recently taken in the 2nd round (Faber has obviously exceeded expectations but he wasn’t expected to be this good)

Debrincat as a 25 year old RFA last year returned a late 1st, a 4th, Kubalik, and a meh prospect. I think most people would say Debrincat is better than Necas as well

You can say the second piece needs to be a bit better than the Avs 2nd rounder, but it’s not that far off based on historical comps for RFA wingers

Let's use Fiala as a comparable then. 1st and Faber. So a 1st and Hutson? Hutson was a second rounder that's exceeded expectations. The difference between Cat, Fiala and Necas is that Necas isn't a winger. He wants to play center, that's what is sparking the entire rumor of him being moved. Carolina can afford to keep him, but you're not paying for a winger.
