Description

Campbell trade is just a straight cap dump.

With the Carolina trade, the Hurricanes get a very cheap #4/5 defenseman for two years while jettisoning two bad contracts; that seems to be worth a late first.

For the Sharks, Orlov could bring some defensive stability to a terrible d-group; at worst, his contract just has one year left. Kotkaniemi could rebound, and his contract isn't too bad given the low buyout penalty.

If it isn't obvious, Goodrow is signed by the Sharks after being bought out by the Rangers.
