Description

I can see the habs resigning Monahan, Toffoli and Perry.

Leadership and culture central - guys that were there and already fit in the locker room. Good vet with experience.

Monahan I would sign 4 years and offer Toffolie either 3x 4.1 or 2 at 6.2

Send Anderson to Laval like they did with Armia.

Have Hutson, Struble, Mailloux and Joshua Roy start the season in Laval - let them have a last year of seasoning in the AHL.

The following year, Armia, Dvorak, Savard are off the book as well as their 11.35M$ cap space. That means 3 roster spots for the youngters.

Habs will have $31,767,500 in cap space to mainly sign Slaf and Guhle

I like the idea. I’m just curious if VGK would like that deal. They would only save 1.5ish M$ on the cap. They’re always up against the cap and I would expect they would want to save even more on the cap.

Would the Habs consider retaining on Evans to “help”VGK?

I absolutely do not want them spending 13 million in cap space for those players. Won't be here when the core is ready to compete and anyone who won't be here for that is a waste of money, especially when those players aren't good enough to move us into a playoff spot
