2 guys we certainly aren’t moving are McTavish and Luneau is our RD1 prospect currently so he isn’t getting moved either

I’d love Trouba but we will be to expensive for us to pay for him for 2 years honestly

I highly highly highly doubt Verbeek would want to throw 12 million at marner

Assuming that Trouba's doctor wife gets a new position in the Southern California medical community, thereby dramatically increasing the odds of re-signing him when his current deal is up, the Rangers trade makes at least some sense. The Marner trade makes no sense because Anaheim believes in the exact opposite theory of roster construction from Toronto's.

TOR has zero leverage to even ask for Zegras, let alone McTavish. That's why you don't hand out full NMCs on top of huge contracts to multiple players.
