Neither piece fills a need for the Jets.

I dont think theres enough value from PIT in either of those deals.

Doubt some of those RFAs and UFAs accept those low ball offers.

And its extremely hopeful: you have high hopes for Hamaliuk to have value in trade, yet acquire failed prospect Heinola for your 3rd pair, you underpay Bemstrom and Poulin and expect them to have some impact on the 4th line with Acciari? Your top 4 players (crosby, Malkin, Letang and Karlsson) are a year older. and the youth you've added are pretty much getting no icetime. You've kind of restocked the organization with the same has beens/never weres as last year. I just dont see a better team.

And ultimately Dubas isn;t the GM to do this, Dubas doesn;t trade for youth, he trades for band aids and training wheels.

I like Ehlers and would love to have him but I wouldnt trade MP28 to make it happen. Skjei gets a little less than that. He had a very meh playoffs.
