Description
The Vegas Golden Knights are (almost) in a playoff spot. The Detroit Red Wings are in serious trouble with the salary cap. So why not make a trade inspired by the Kevin Shattenkirk and Martin Hanzal trades, where Vegas gets Tomas Tatar, who is one of the forwards the Red Wings can trade because this team has so many no trade clauses. He had difficulty settling with Detroit for a contract this year, and a trade could be beneficial for him. Detroit gets Maxime Lagacé, the fourth goalie in Vegas who did a wonderful job replacing Marc-André Fleury, Malcolm Subban and Oscar Dansk. They also get two picks because they are in a rebuild mode.

I say that u should put in dansk instead of lagace and leipsic goes to the 4th line and the 3rd line is tatar-eakin-tuch other than that I think the value is fair considering that this is the mojo to NJD trade + lagace and that the the wings are desperate for cap space so overall I love the trade!

Although Legace played really well for Vegas, he really isn't worth all that much. It would have to be a better prospect than him. Not Theodore, not Tuch, not Suzuki or Glass, etc but a better one than Legace.

Clever trade that could make sense for both sides. Not giving up too much in Vegas and Detroit gets desperately needed cap space.

I would say a solid prospect Vegas could add to this deal is a guy like Griffin Reinhardt on top of Lagace and the picks may be enough to sway Detroit. Possibly two 2nds instead of a 2 and 3. I'd say then, with maybe lower upside prospects, two picks that Vegas can surely give up would make this a pretty good deal on both sides.

Awesome idea, but I don't think Vegas would do that. Even though they're in a playoff spot, I'd bet that GM mcphee would still want to build from within.
