Some of those Montreal guys aren't assets they're liabilities.

None of them are liabilities... who are you talking about?

Edit: Alzner is by far the worst asset up there but by no means with 1M retained a bad player. Guys like Matt Moulson are not assets. High price tag and can't even get into the lineup to help the team. Alzner although I agree isn't great, is still an NHL dmen any day of the week. Weakish defensive top 4 dman. Is he worth his cap hit? No but he still makes Montreals blue line better than without him.

I agree that Alzner's contract is tough to swallow and he has had a rough start to his time in Montreal. But in the last 5 or 10 games, he has actually been solid, as has the whole team. The two games with Tampa and last night's Vancouver game, Alzner was excellent. And once the playoff come and the whistles go away, a guy like Alzner starts to win games, then rounds. He's a warrior.

Hamilton himself is worth more than Pacioretty+Schlemko+2nd Rounder
And Carr is no where near a 1st rounder.
Alzner is a liability, and his contract is horrible, no one is going to trade for them unless your name is Bergevin or Chiarelli

I edited my comment. I meant to say none of them are liabilities.
