Not here to comment on OTT-COL.

That PIT-OTT is a great trade for both teams. Should be done by now.

Nope. Avs are not trading major future pieces, even for EK.

Ottawa is in a weird spot and they put themselves in it with how the duchene trade has exploded in their face.

Coga. is absolutely right. Why would teams wanna strip their roster and futures for short term benefit?

Coga. Question. Who are those guys wearing the Avalanche uniforms? Certainly not the same players that were wearing the uniforms in previous years. Great energy and effective play against the Leafs last night....and in a lotta previous games.

As per Coga for me. The Avs do not need to trade for Karlsson. For sure he's valuable and all that and you'd be a fool to not take a look at him if he hits free agency (though his price would probably sky rocket), but the Avs, despite their current position and play, are still in rebuild and will have EJ, Barrie, Timmins, Meloche and later Makar on the right side all looking for a spot. Foolish to trade away assets like Barrie, Jost and a first (plus) for potentially only a season and a bit of of Karlsson. Not saying the value isn't good, just that it's a trade the Avs have zero need to make. I'll give you a couple of stars just for the value aspect.
