Description
Despite the panic from some fans, the Pens are not blowing up any part of the core. They'll have a longer summer to recover and recharge, then come back next year with a similar group and take another run at a title.

No team in the league can match Crosby-Malkin-Brassard-Sheahan down the middle, and everyone in the top 9 can score. The top 4 D are very solid, and the bottom pair can both skate and fit in Pittsburgh's system well. Murray-DeSmith is still the question mark, and I considered getting a different backup, but I believe the Pens will run with that and Jarry (if needed), and make a move midseason if it's not working.

If Sprong can't cut it there, Hornqvist can move up with Crosby, ZAR up to the third line, and Bleuger can get in the lineup regularly on the 4th.

I agree with the whole panic thing bus that LA trade is brutal. Looks panicky to me.

Muzzin is better than Maatta now, and I think he would fit better beside Letang or Schultz than Maatta does. Unless Sprong doesn't make the team, Sheary doesn't have a spot in the top 9, and he's brutally overpaid and not suited for 4th line.
