Description
Breadman returns
Dzingel plays for his home town.
Boqvist has potential to be in the lineup.

Gain a struggling forward in Ryan while losing a struggling d man. Can be rewarding if he plays like he did during 2017 playoffs. Either way this frees up cap space faster than with seabs contract.

Robin Lehner has posted a .916 during his time in buffalo. Imagine what he can do with a team in front of him.

Then for the 20-21 season we have to resign debrincat. Theres about 4 mil to spend. Plus roughly 2 mil the cap will increase. Crawford contract ends, he won't be getting 6 mil again with all these injury stuff going on. I think that is safe to say we will have enough to resign him. And if he wants a high number, we can likely sign him to a bridge deal with Kane toews and Ryan's contract expiring.

      Ryan Dzingel. During 2018-19 season.

Sens finally get rid of Ryan's contract (3 years) but take on Seabs lower contract (5 years). Seabrook joins an obsolete d group and mentors young players.

Throw in picks and prospects as necessary.

I wouldn't give up 1st round, Boqvist or jokiharju. But whatever it takes to get rid of Seabrook. Seabrook would have to waive his NMC but maybe they do some insider stuff we don't know about.

I feel like Chicago loses that Ottawa deal just because Saad was supposed to be and is still considered to be an important piece.

I don’t like to advertise, but why don’t you go check out my last post and see if that’s better. I agree that’s to much to give up while taking Ryan back.

Melnyk is too cheap for that deal. He only saves 375K on the Ryan/Seabrook difference and has to pay Seabs an extra two years. Plus the 6 mil tag on Saad.

I don't see them taking Seabrook's contract without us taking on Ryan's. We get rid of that cap space in three years compared to what would be five. Get him out of Ottawa to reboot his career, he has the potential to be a 20 goal scorer, 50+ points again. He is similar to Saad in terms of production, they were actually 2 points apart last season while Ryan played 20 less games. And imagine if Ryan plays like his old self. 2017 he had a terrible season but in playoffs he produces 15 points in 19 games, showing he still has it. Even if he doesn't produce those numbers, I would rather have a struggling forward at that cap hit than a struggling defensemen. We have a ton of defense prospects and there will be no room for Seabrook in the lineup the way he's been playing. And for Saad, he is not as advertised and he will disappoint yet again this season in my opinion. Bringing back old pieces hasn't worked all these times Bowman has done it. I don't see it working with Saad. Getting rid of him frees up the cap space for Panarin. Who I think we all agree, we'd love to have back. Also, Dzingel is on the come up, he will be a great sign for whoever gets him if he hits free agency this upcoming offseason.
