Description

Trade nylander eventually becomes necessary (still not a preferred option, but lets say it does). Leafs cash in as Cooorado looks to amp up. Grab a potential future winger (entry level contract) with potential and trade up for a solid RD for the playoffs.

Assumptions - Colorado is potentially a playoff team and sees a need to get better soon, Carolina wants more time for their kids on the blueline, more picks and drop some budget.

I don’t see any scenario where the canes accept that deal

I agree with the first statement, although idk why the leafs would do that deal. They already have two puck moving dmen.

Agreed. We already have one jake gardner, getting another player that is exactly like jake gardners would be awful!! Imagine all the hits they would dodge and all the falling down in their own zone they would do. At least you didn't have them on the same pairing.
