Description

Sherback is pretty similar to Gauthier, Bean is a bit better than Fleury, so a pick to balance out the trade a bit. Canes get both the Fleury boys. Habs RD right now is set with Josh Brook looking like a stud for the future, and Weber, Petry, and Juulsen all ahead of him.

Gauthier is better than Scherback and Bean has much higher ceiling than Cale Fleury although he is good as well. I dont think Carolina does that..

I considered that ... I'd through another or a different pick in there, maybe a 3rd instead of 4th. Maybe drop the forwards and just deal for Bean for Fleury + a pick?

You better add a 1st. Canes still say no but it’s closer.

Canes are giving up the 2 best players in the deal.

Very interesting trade, personally I don’t think the canes bite on it. Fluery was a 3rd round pick and scherbak was drafted 26th. Bean was 13th and gauthier was 21st too.if the pick becomes a second and a 3rd then the canes say yes possibly. Bean is the best d man in there system so maybe they would want more like a 1st and a 2nd. I would like to see the fluerys playing together.

Hyperbole

None of the players involved have proven a thing at the NHL level. None have even dominated the AHL level yet for that matter. Cale Fleury is a great prospect but plays the wrong side of the ice which is the only reason to consider trading him for Bean. No 1st round picks need be exchanged here.
