No. Goaltending is an issue, and a D core that young is going to get walked a fair bit. Also, besides Tkachuk and Rasmussen, most of these guys still need to get stronger, and would be at risk of being ground down by the long NHL season.

I think this team plus two years would be a cup threat, but not right now.

If they played a full season I imagine they’d start off red hot and be close to the top of the league, but they’d definitely fall-off during the dog days of the season. I don’t think they’d make it.

Cirelli would be the extra center guy, and their PP and PK would be awesome, but yeah, there's not enough offense overall to offset the average goaltending. And you're right. Consistency would be a huge issue on a rookie team.
