Washington should be happy with that, if not now, then over the summer. Heinen's career points are half Burakovsky's, at the same age, he's smaller, and he doesn't have half as many goals or a tenth as many playoff points, but his single season points and assists marks are better, and his cap hit is lower. Each has five points this year, so maybe Boston is okay with it too?
I don't think the Caps necessarily should target such a similar style of player--I'd rather see a Martinez, Muzzin, or even Forbort to help carry the PK if Orpik doesn't come back at full speed from knee surgery--but if they did look for a swap of slumping wingers, Heinen's ability to chip in so many assists on a top line last year makes this look pretty fair, on paper.
I think Martinez is the only one who should be traded for Burakovsky straight up, because his cup-winning assist adds similar value to Burakovsky's two goals in game seven against Tampa and four assists in five games against Vegas. Caps still add Jaskin to balance cap hits.
