Description
Skinner is not this good and we should trade him for way more than we got him for. He is also a UFA and we might lose him for nothing. Vancouver makes sense to give them a winger for either Horvat or Pettersson

"Skinner not this good" lmao nice one.. His goal scoring ability is only matched by a few, and his hands are.. dare I say it... the best in the league... and same with his skating.

He will put up at least 30 goals for the next 4 years.. ATLEAST.

And all because he has better line mates.. was playing the 3rd line in Carolina under **** Bill Peters.

Selling high, considering his current shooting percentage might be wise. Though Buffalo has not seen the playoffs in quite a while. So, do you sell high and collect a pot full of treasure, or keep the gang together and hope they can maintain this level of play through the remaining season. I will say, Carter Hutton was an amazing UFA signing and I can only imagine how much St. Louis is kicking themselves for not resigning him.

IF you dealt Skinner as a pure rental at the trade deadline, you could probably get a 1st, great prospect and a quality young NHLer. I honestly think you can do better with the return you've proposed from Vancouver. Ideally, you are looking for a team likely out of the top-10 in draft lottery (so a conditional protected 1st does not get protected), that has a cupboard of prospects and a couple quality young NHLers. Judging from what I can see over in the Western Conference, there sure as heck will be a couple (if not many) desperate teams looking for someone like a Jeff Skinner to carry them into the playoffs.

I believe this trade does live up to these standards as Gadjovich is an ELITE prospect as well as Juolevi plus the 1st and a good young player such as Hutton to top it off
