Considering the numbers Kessel has and still is putting up Im surprised they'd entertain a Kessel trade to be honest. They'll never get true value back. I'd move others around to fill holes over good Ol' Phil-sky. (Brassard, Hornqvist and Maatta primarily)

Don't want Staal with that contract. $6M cap hit for a handful of years yet... Nope. There would need to be retention and change those picks to one 1st in the opening offer, then a discussion can start.

I like the trade. Those picks need some work. But this will never happen as both players would have to waive a NTC.
