Description
Lots of great ideas getting posted on what it would take to get Petro, and I certainly think that could be an option this year.

Another option is a depth add for RD. Jensen has been thrown out there alot, and I like that option. Plays 20 mins +, pks, decent puck mover, cheap, and if he works he could stick around next year as a ufa. If not he could walk.

I generally suck at trying to determine trade value, but would this be reasonable for Staal? Seems like the Wild might be sellers this year. I don't get to see him play much, but from what I remember of him I think he could look great with JT and Marner and a nice add for PP2. He'd be a rental, plain and simple.

Would Staal be prefered to say a W. Simmonds? Is there enough cap left over for performance bonuses?

One thing I like about this option is the press box is filled with players that Babs trusts, and it'd give us good depth and hedge against injuries heading into the playoffs.

Like the Jensen deal but not the staal deal. Keep Moore. Besides @OldNYIfan would be upset if we traded him anywhere that isn’t in the state of California.

I’m not sure if we really need any more offensive depth. Maybe a really solid 2way 4c Boyle cough cough. But I can’t see any moves that hurt our depth for the future.

If today is any indication the Leafs are going with a roster off 3 players for the next few years......Pietrangelo, Faulk and now Staal have been traded for all our picks. for the next three years, plus the best prospects and Kapanen.

No but it's interesting how many fans of other teams think so many Leafs players are crap....but their 5, 6, 7 th Dmen are sooooo much better than ANY of the Leafs (except Reilly).
