Description
Don't get me wrong...I hope you blow it up and trade the Leafs some D.

But I'd honestly be more inclined to give this group another shot next year...and maybe every ball out on a big G signing like Bob.

Even if the team is crap next year too and you decide to sell...having solid goaltending would provide a stability on the back end for a youth movement and inevitable mistakes/turnovers.

Unless someone's blowing your socks off with trade offers...I don't see the rush to blow it up...I doubt any trade offers you receive this year are likely to be significantly lower next TDL so why not wait just one more year?

Maybe there's team that's interested in Bozak at 5M, but it's definitely not Ottawa. Even if Duchene gets traded, they still have 3 top nine centers, all of whom are better than Bozak, not to mention Chlapik knocking at the Door and Brown not far behind.

Yea, that's cool. Didn't spend much time picking somewhere to ship him...I'm sure there's a team looking for depth at centre that can stomach 2 years and $5m for bozak

I don’t think the team gets any better without sweeping roster changes. Yeah, giving the gang one last shot might work considering literally nothing has gone right this year and they could probably be better next year by default, but transitioning to a new coach, new goalie, and new leadership will make this team’s future brighter. I would trade Pietrangelo, try my absolute hardest to move Steen, and maybe move Schenn to the highest bidder at the deadline. If someone meets the astronomical asking price of Tarasenko I’d do that to.

I'll say this, Bozak won't be traded by the Blues. Why? They need to have some forward available for the expansion draft. As of now, Perron, Bozak, and Steen are all potentially available. Steen is most likely to go out of those 3.

I've posted other trades on here before regarding Bozak. He is the perfect fit for Calgary. A vet third-line center with scoring ability on a Calgary team that is way too top-heavy for a deep playoff run. The Flames must get a third-line center with some talent, and Bozak is that guy. The $5 million contract is certainly unattractive, but if the Blues withhold some money, Calgary should be all over Bozak. I just don't get the hate for him. He is what he is, and a lot of people on this site act as if he's terrible. He's not. He wins face-offs at a fair clip, is a good set-up man, has the ability to score you some goals, and his defense isn't nearly as bad as what it was for the Leafs. He's just a sound veteran third-line center who is overpaid by about $2 million. That's what Calgary needs. If STL retains $1.5-2 million, they should be all over him.
