Description
Gotta do something with Seabrook but not sure what would realistically work, that is why the roster size is over 23 and the team is over the cap in this simulation, any suggestion for Seabs or the defense? This simulation assumes Crawford is still hurt or retires.

Why not? There's several articles saying he's interested and the hawks will go al in for him. Over cap cause they left it at 81.5 when it'll likely be 83.

Honestly, I do not see the Hawks parting with Seabrook. I truly believe there is a market for Keith, tho. Yes, the cap recapture crap is a consideration but the guy is in fabulous shape and still could be a very adequate 3-5 dman on a contender at a relatively friendly hit of $5.5M. He is the guy I would move ASAP. Gardiner would be a coup at the fraction more you give him. He does not seem to be a top pair guy, tho, IMO. I think Chicago would have to trade for such a guy if they want to compete for a playoff berth next year. Trouble with that is who do they move? Very tough answer might be DeBrincat, unfortunately. If that is the case, they would have to hit the FA market hard for a scorer.

The Blackhawks have a ton of holes presently and do not appear to be a desired destination for top UFAs. They have their work cut out if they truly want to contend in these next four years.

Cap wasn't set right....OBVIOUSLY. Leafs aren't winning the cup either and they have real cap problems.
