I think the Pens pass.. they need to take on more salary with Sobotka, and get a player who is struggling more than Brassard is. I think if salary was retained, or if another piece was added, it would make it more enticing.

We don’t have the 3C the Penguins are looking for. We could take on Brassards contract with sending them minimal money back and then they could use the cap space to bring in another 3C. That’s about the only way this would work. Sobotka does nothing for them
