Both teams hang up quickly. You just traded quantity for quality. Two top 6 F's for scraps.

Im often not one to defend Pitts trades LOL but I wouldn't go as far as to say scraps?

Bjugstad is so OVERRATED! Revered as a top 6 player yet hasn't produced as one and only really played well in one year. Finally scoring this year? Yeah that's because he's playing top line minutes at RW next to Barkov and Huberdeau. Sheary has put better numbers and costs less than Bjugstad while being the same age. Bjugstad is as much a top 6 as Sheary is if anything. The other parts of the deal kind of a wash. They can be removed altogether.

The Detroit deal is the same thing, Gustav Nyquist is a decent player but no superstar. Ask Detroit right now if they'd trade him for a 1st and they'd probably say yes. Once again the other pieces are overkill and are not needed but Kuhnhackl and a 1st for Nyquist? If I'm Detroit, Im thinking long and hard about it.

Are these trades "good"? No, there is some major flaws that make it improbable to happen but I wouldn't go flipping out over values of those stud top 6 players coming back. Truth is they aren't as good as you are making them out to be.

Im not doing Nyquist for a late 1st and a bottom line guy, Detroit has plenty of those.

Florida's offense in general has no chemistry. Barkov Hubs and Dads are a great top line but after that there's no chemistry. Bjugstad will rebound, especially if he gets moved to another team.
